Whether you play golf for enjoyment, exercise, competitively or professionally you have to have a reasonable level of fitness.
The demands on the body are many. You have to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready to play; regardless of your level.
You have to have adequate flexibility, stability, strength and power if you hope to hit the ball with any consistency.
From my experience, first as a tour player around the world and now as a coach and Golf Conditioning Specialist, I see many players training and practising in ways that will ruin their game.
Golf is played in all sorts of weather over all sorts of terrain. So you have to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready to play.
Consistency
I hear this word all the time. The only way to get more consistent is by being consistent with your training and practise. Then change can occur.
You need a full assessment of where you are at physically and you need to work out your weaknesses in your game first. Then you need a structured plan to fit your lifestyle and stated dream.
